Phlorum Limited is a true multidisciplinary environmental consultancy providing a wide range of environmental assessment services.
We were founded on a unique, specialist Japanese knotweed removal service, which combines our experience and skills in ecology, plant physiology, contaminated land, auditing and wider environmental considerations.
We are always on the lookout for highly talented individuals to join our professional team and help the company’s continued growth.
Phlorum Limited endeavours to protect and care for the welfare and development of our employees. We encourage personal development and provide exciting opportunities for promotion.
Phlorum is committed to equality of opportunity for everyone regardless of their race, nationality, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or marital status.
We are frequently looking to add to our expanding ecology team in our Brighton office, particularly during the survey season. If you have experience in ecological consultancy and project and client management skills, then we would be very interested in talking to you.
We are also interested in less experienced staff who have some ecology survey skills and qualifications – particularly those who have worked under appropriate licences for protected species work.
During the survey season, from spring to autumn, we are always interested in hearing from graduates who want to start their career in ecological consultancy.
If you are interested in ecology work at our Brighton office, please contact us – details below.
We do not currently have any specific vacancies in the invasives team, but we are always interested to hear from people who have the right skills and relevant experience to join us.
If you are suitably qualified and experienced to treat knotweed and other invasive plants, please introduce yourself and send us a CV. We can then organise a chat to see how you might fit in at Phlorum.
Our continued growth means we are always on the lookout for new staff to support our air quality consultancy team in our Brighton office. We will consider all levels of experience, with our minimum requirement usually being two years previous full-time employment in a dispersion modelling role.
Our bread-and-butter project work includes predictive modelling for industrial, infra-structure, commercial and residential developments using ADMS, Aermod, Screen, ADMS Roads, Breeze Roads and the DMRB/IANs/WebTAG.
We also regularly provide odour assessment and air quality monitoring services for indoor environments, restaurants, occupational exposure reporting, and nuisance impacts from wastewater treatment works and contaminated land remediation projects.
The bulk of our work is UK-based but we do undertake some work overseas – mainly the Middle East and Africa. Good communication with clients on the phone and in person is essential, as is the ability to handle large amounts of numerical data and to write clear and concise technical reports in excellent English.
For more senior positions we would expect a proven track record in developing new business and in effectively managing client relationships.
Although we may not be currently advertising for specific positions, if you are a bright, suitably qualified and experienced individual who shares our values and you believe that you can add to our service provision, please do get in touch as we’d be very happy to hear from you.
Note for recruitment agencies.
Without signed terms for specific roles, all unsolicited CVs sent to us will be treated as gifts.
To be absolutely clear, we reserve the right to contact directly any candidate whose details have been sent to us by a third party; we shall not be liable for any recruitment fees should we choose to engage such a candidate.
If you think you can work with Phlorum then please email us at info@phlorum.com or call us at our head office on 01273 307 167.
We will respond quickly to all who enquire.
Successful candidates will be joining an organisation that is both dynamic in nature and has clear goals for business development.
