New paper on Japanese Knotweed

Dr Paul Beckett (pictured), together with Uliana B. Bashtanova and Timothy J. Flowers, has recently had a paper on the chemical control of knotweed published in Weed Science.  It contains some interesting information on the possible timing of different herbicides and the physiological action of these herbicides. Testing of the theories mentioned in the field directly will be done in a more systematic way under experimental conditions as part of the next phase of research activity.
